Year end review: 2018

Another year has ended and it's time to reminisce and share the highlights of my 2018.

Well, it's not a good start for me this year. I was rushed and confined in hospital for one month- the reason why I was not able to watch my supposedly first ever k-pop concert and student's night, and did not attend school for the whole middle term so I had to drop some subjects to avoid failing grades.

It really was an unlucky start for me because I had to spend a week in ICU and three more weeks in a hospital room; overthinking if should I just drop all of my courses, when will I get better, and when will I get back to school because staying at hospital makes me feel more sick.

The dry and dull ambiance of the hospital became unhealthy for my mental health but I am and will forever be grateful and blessed for the people who visited me during that time because they helped me lessen my anxiousness and made me feel less worried.

In almost two months staying at hospital and at home, finally I had the strength to go back to school and finish the term.

As my father promised to me when I was in hospital, we went on a grand vacation this summer. But before we went on our trip, my boy best friends treat me because it is my birthday! I really spent nothing because I have nothing as well. Thanks to them we celebrated my birthday in advance.

Thank you my boy friends :)

Bakasyon Grande 2018

DAY 1: Starting off our bakasyon grande, departing from Manila to Cebu we had a quick visit to my uncle and from Cebu, we drove off to Bohol riding a ferry.

DAY 2: We woke up very early and went to Panglao beach, Bohol to celebrate my 19th birthday.

DAY 3: From Bohol, we went to Camiguin Island riding a ferry to join the annual celebration of Enerio's family reunion.

On this night, I had my first drink with my tito's and tita's and really had a great talk with them.

DAY 4: On our second day in Camiguin, we spent the whole day exploring the famous tourist attractions in this island and at the end of the day, we had a little bonfire near the seashore.

DAY 5: Last morning in Camiguin Island, we went to its beautiful sand bar and later went off to San France, Agusan Del Sur.

DAY 6: First day at San France, we went swimming again on one of the known resort in Agusan Del Sur. Aside from swimming, I tried all of the resort's activity such as the cable bike and zip line which were both my first try.

DAY 7: Second day in San France, we woke up very early to travel from Agusan Del Sur to the City of Davao and went to Davao's Crocodile farm.

DAY 8: Rest day!

DAY 9: Truly save the best for the last. I have no words on how should I elaborate and share my feelings how overwhelmed and happy I was during that day. Maybe I would just recommend for you to see the pictures below, appreciate and be amused by the beauty of our own nature.

Also, on this day, I rode a water jet ski for the first time. It really was a memorable experience especially when I went to the sea with mom on my back.

Student-Leader

Before the end of the second semester academic year 2017-2018, I was about to run as Civil Engineering Department Student Council's secretary but due to medical reason, I was not able to do so. Instead of settling as a simple student, I took a risk and apply as an officer in the organization, Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers TIP-QC Student chapter.

Talking to people was out of my comfort zone but I told to myself I won't develop and improve as an individual like a strong individual the social needs to, if i would just settle and stay on my safe zone. Hence I took the risk, I tried, I was interviewed, presented my self alone having zero leadership background; just my commitment and dedication to be an officer, to be a student-leader. In God's grace, my journey as a student leader started here. I became the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineer's TIP-QC student chapter's 3rd year representative for the academic year 2018-2019.

The beginning of everything.

PICE TIP-QC SC 2018-2019 First event and Induction Rites; National Convention

PICE Christmas Party with the National Officers and PICE TIP-QC SC Officers Christmas Party

Student-Assistant

After being accepted as an organization's officer, I went for more, I challenged myself more to continue my self-development. So, I applied as student assistant in our school and was assigned in library department.

School Affiliations

I, and my friend, Dariell, as a student leader, had always the chance to be involve with the school's occasional event. Dariell himself got to conduct his own department's program or event because he was the Electrical Engineering Department Student council's President.

People I met

Here's a space for the people I had time and memories with. Thank you for being part of my 2018.

It is exactly 25th of August 2019, and I am writing this year end review just now. I know I shouldn't be sorry because I'm actually doing this blog for my self and not for anyone else, but I am still sorry because I'm not at the proper time, event, and occasion to do such blog like this. I just wanted not to miss any year end review this time so I can just easily reminisce the highlights of my life in a specific year.
